A home’s water line is the pivotal component of the plumbing system. Usually, the water lines are heavy-duty and constructed in a way to make them last for decades. But that does not make the water lines unbreakable. Over time corrosion or tree roots can damage the water lines. Once they are damaged, they need to be repaired immediately. - A drastic rise in water bills month after another indicates an issue with the waterline. The water leak can result in a change in water bill costs. Especially if the leak is not obvious. A considerable bounce in the cost of your water bill could be due to increased usage.
